Nagpur runners showcased outstanding performances at the Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon organized by Adventures and You, with support from the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB). The event drew 1,115 participants from across the country.
In the 21-km men’s category, Nagpurians Mohit Kore (1:36:08), Manohar Barai (1:36:24), and Akshay Dadwe (1:36:43) secured the top three positions. In the women’s division, Nidhi Tarare from the city excelled with a time of 1:52:41.
Moving to the 10-km race, Nagpur’s Rita Tarare (47:42) and Tanu Bhajankar (57:49) claimed the first and second spots in the women’s category.
Despite heavy rains during the 42-km full marathon, runners commenced the race at 03:00 am. Ankit Sharma (3:14:49), Aniket Yadav (3:15:53), and Gangaram Mourya (3:26:47) emerged as the top three finishers in the men’s marathon. In the women’s event, Premlata Gupta (4:26:13), Nikita Mandloi (4:40:27), and Sapna Parwani (6:16:21) were honored for their achievements.
The prize distribution ceremony saw the presence of prominent figures including Dr. Santosh Shrivastava, Joint Director of the Adventure Division at MPTB, Khandelwal, Finance Head at MPTB, and KK Singh, Assistant Director of the Adventure Division at MPTB.
Brooks India Limited served as the running partner for the event, with Torque’s Jal mineral water as the hydration partner. Race Director Mitesh Rambhia managed the proceedings, while Smita Khare proposed a vote of thanks.
